One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.

My nickname is “Los” or “THE” in english, I’m not easily labeled… dare i say Well Rounded? ..In the belly I am a little TOO well rounded these days so i’m working on that blah blah Fee Fi Fo Fum. In fact I was so unthrilled by getting motivated the same way we all try to gear up during a new year. Getting back to the gym, going on some shitty new wave diets, and so i decided to change the way i went about all this. First thing was change work out routine every week because i’m a restless entertainer and get bored soo fast.
Doing Yoga with Different teachers, changing the route of my beach runs, skateboarding to the gym instead of driving a big whole 2 miles, doing weights at home while watching tough guy movies! lol! Yep that actually works for me and surfing, hiking and any way to keep it fresh is really working.
The other part of this is to take a Millenium Falcon hyper drive into the BELLY OF THE BEAST ITSELF “FOOOD”. Why tempt myself when i’m just getting going HMMM! I am not going to live on boring salad, wheatgerm shakes, and dog food to look good for you Hollywood or for me quite franko. I just like alot of you , don’t have the personal trainer just yet and cook for myself and friends. I have created a palette after traveling for the unusual delights, exotic foreign little numbers that change the way you feel, move, and how you embrace your inevitable hungers.
Film people and artists are allll so full of energy it’s nutty buddies. How many of you know some intense mo fo’s who never stop? I have gone through the ringer putting that energy into everything under the sun from drugs, cigarettes, cigars, alcohol, woman and although the last 2 are like Wind to A Sailing Ship. no matter what we try to do to fill that black limitless void with our vices. That void doesn’t get full. So nowadays putting some of that energy into what I eat and how I make it is a great way to fill that energy especially when the downtime of waiting for a new role, a new directing job, that new great film you just can’t muster enough time to write.
I created a little bookmark of foodie websites and there are sooo many it’s overwhelming. I have 10 here that are a spectrum of your various types of foodie folks. From hands – on , healthy, lazy, exotic, and your connoisseurs. ENJOY!
No specific order here:
1) CHOCOLATE AND ZUCCHINI is a blog, recipe book, and comment on restaurants written by Clotilde Dusoulier. After living in Paris for a bit i found French Cuisine exquisite and as a cook quite

challenging with great pay-off.
http://chocolateandzucchini.com/
2)CHOW is kind of a hip recipe book from the layout to the extensive recipes it is quickly becoming my first place to look for a recipe as it as easy as balls to remember and has some cool articles like How to make your own Baby Food (not that I need to read that just one yet! LOL!) or IS “CHIC-FIL-A homophobic”? another great article!
3) SERIOUS EATS is for the online conversational foodies who want to blog, vlog, pog, and eat dog with other foodies. Cool articles like Dario Cecchini the famed butcher of Panzano who just came to New York and is Italy’s greatest butcher.
4) David Leibovitz is a double win for me. He blogs about the best gems to eat while in Paris and is considered one of the new Pastry masters of the world with tons of creds to back it up. I’m new to the Pastry scene so this is a good place to start if u dare to attempt to make a Goat Cheese Souffle.
6) DELICIOUS DAYS was voted one of the coolest blogs TIME magazine. Nicky and Oliver take amazing photography and have great recipes. It’s a stunning visual and mouth watering site fo sho’.
7)CHEZ PIM has been called the QUEEN OF FOOD BLOGS and has been a guest on IRON CHEF and cooked Pad-Thai for MARTHA STEWART pre and post jail. She is a professional eater and will try anything from street foods to the creme de le’. This is right up my alley cuz when I travel this is how i roll. This Bangkok now San Fran girl knows how to rock it!
8)Rouxbe is youtube for the cooking afficianado. If you want to be a cook or get fancy then sign up for this online cooking school. I think I need to book a commercial before I do this one, but Video is a great way to learn. If cooking is in your blood check it out.
9) Three ways! got to love em’. The healthiest options are not always the tastiest and I found a few I love. Cookinglight.com and HungryGirl.com and you can get together a great option for truly healthy versions of your favorite meals. Hungrygirl has some badass Butternut Squash chili fries!
10) DINER’S JOURNAL…Last but not least this is the BIBLE website for FOODIE’S. It is New York times Blog that branches to a few of the great food and wine blogs Mark Bittman is a great one and you can find everything else their food related.
