JASON AVALOS is a writer and director from Colombia and raised in Long Beach, Ca. Growing up as an only child with a single working mom threw him into the deep end of a world of Imagination. When graduating with honors in Theater in San Diego, his professor said, “Jason is probably the only one who will make it from this group because he has a tenacity like no other.” That tenacity is starting to payoff as Jason just won the CINE LATINO FILM Award for his Drama/Horror film Blood on the Leaves which he also directed.

Between growing up in punk bands and being a ectasy fueled rave DJ, he didn’t think he’d even be alive past 27. But here we are, and that wild energy has filled pages of supernatural beings, holistic horror, and full-tilt anti-heroes with a feverish sense of humanity, humor, and practical magic ever since.
